The quality of the translation

THE PRICE AND QUALITY OF THE TRANSLATION

A QUESTION THAT ANY CLIENT WHO NEEDS A TRANSLATION ASKS HIMSELF    “  HOW DO I OBTAIN A TRANSLATION THAT MEETS MY NEEDS FOR A REASONABLE PRICE?”

We all know that there are many, many translators on the market and that their skills range from rank amateurs to highly skilled professional translators. And we know that it is extremely difficult for the client to know in advance whether the translator he chooses is good and whether the translation will truly meet the client’s needs.

In addition, the prices for translations on the market range from very minimal to highly expensive. And unfortunately we know that paying a high price is not necessarily a guarantee that the quality of the translation will be good – it may just mean that the translator is more greedy.

You don’t want to pay a low price for a bad translation, nor do you want to pay a high price for a bad translation, and you also do not want to pay a higher than necessary price for a good translation.

OUR GUIDE TO PAYING A FAIR PRICE FOR A GOOD TRANSLATION.

‘HOW DO I CHOOSE THE TRANSLATOR THAT IS MOST SUITABLE FOR MY PROJECT?”

You should consider:

THE TRANSLATOR’S  EXPERIENCE.

The experience of the translator and the success he has achieved are  important indicators of his skill.

Our firm has 40 years experience in the translation business.  This must mean that we are doing something right.  We suggest that it means that our clients have returned again and again to our translation services as they are satisfied with the quality of our translations, with our prices and with the service that we give.

RECOMMENDATIONS.

Can the translator provide recommendations from satisfied clients?   We certainly can and will be happy to do so.

RELIABILITY

Can you rely on the translator?  Does he have a proven record of successful translation for a number of years?

Will he do a quality translation and will he provide it to you before your dead line?

SERVICE

Does the translator offer you the service you need?

Our service is fast, efficient and courteous.  We take your dead lines seriously.

Urgent translations    We can provide super fast quality translations – even if it means working through the night and on holidays to give you the service you want.

Does the translator offer to correct the translation or make small changes free of charge and without delay?

We certainly do.

Does the translator provide free sample translations before you give him the go ahead to translate?

We are happy to give free sample translations of your material so that you can satisfy yourself with the quality of our work.

Does your translator have specialist translators for legal, technical, commercial, advertising, accounting, scientific, medical, academic and other specialized types of translations?

We do, and you can rest assured that your legal translations will be done by competent and experienced legal translators. So also with technical, commercial, advertising, medical and other specialized fields.

MOTHER TONGUE TRANSLATIONS

It is extremely important that the translation is into the translator’s mother tongue . Only a mother tongue translator who uses the language on a daily basis will be able to deal properly with nuances of meaning and to select the most appropriate word to convey the client’s message to its best effect

This mother tongue rule is a hard and fast law in our office and we would never dream of allowing a translator to translate into any language other than his mother tongue.
